Who has access to Registered Bookings and Registered Booking information?

- BCOs & 3PLs, who have their own, full-functionality accounts can Register Bookings, and can modify/delete Booking information for Registered Bookings that do not yet have Containers added to them. Once a Registered Booking has Containers associated with it, the Registered Booking cannot be modified or deleted.

 - Associated BCOs, who sign up for an account but DO NOT SELECT A PAYMENT METHOD (i.e. select the option to “Add or Amend Containers only”), can see Registered Booking information that was added by their Associated 3PLs but they cannot add, modify or delete Registered Bookings. However, they can add and amend Containers to exisiting Registered Bookings that their Associated 3PL has created and submit the VGM information.  Fees associated with these submissions are billed to the 3PL’s account.

 - Associated BCOs, who sign up for an account and DO SELECT A PAYMENT METHOD (e.g. Credit Card or Monthly Billing”), are fully functional BCOs in addition to retaining the rights and permissions (listed above) of an Associated BCO of their Associated 3PL. In addition to having the ability to see Registered Booking information and add/amend Container information and submit VGM information, these Associated BCOs can Register Bookings and can modify/delete Booking in addition to being able to add, modify Container information. Fees assoicated with submissions made on this Associated BCOs acount wil be billed to their own account.

- Other Service Providers (e.g. mobile users such as Truckers or Warehouse workers) who have signed up for an account with limited functionality. They may add Container information and submit VGM information for only for Registered Bookings where they have been provided the Booking number by a BCO or 3PL.

Assoicated BCOs and Additional Contacts are examples of unregistered users. Unregistered Users only receive notifications from the system. They do not have logins for their own accounts.

How does a Container's VGM get submitted to the Carrier by EDI and by whom?

A Container's VGM can be submitted and transmitted to a Carrier via EDI:

- by a BCO or 3PL entering and submitting Container Information, including its VGM, through a combination of the Container Info Entry or Amendment screen and the Container List screen

- by an Other Service Provider (e.g. trucker via cell / mobile phone), BCO or 3PL on the desktop or mobile version of mobileweight.com or via the iOS or Android app (coming soon)

Registered Bookings can only be modified (e.g. change Booking #) or deleted if there are no Containers that have been added to the Booking. If you need to amend the Booking once the Containers have been added, you may choose to add a different container # or register a new Booking.

Can Container information be amended once it has been submitted to a Carrier?

- A Container can be amended after it has been submitted to a Carrier if it's status is "Accepted" or "Rejected".

- Containers cannot be amended while their status is "Processing" (i.e. EDI message has been sent by Mobileweight to the Carrier but the submission had not yet been "Accepted" or "Rejected").

Simply by being listed by a 3PL on a 3PL's account an Associated BCO will receive email notifications of relevant activities on the 3PL's account that are related to the Associated BCO's company. Importantly, the Associated BCO will be indicated as the Verifier for all VGMs submitted by authorized users for Containers related to the Associated BCO's company.

However, an Associated BCO can register for their own account in order to:

- make VGM Submissions & Amendments only (cannot Register Bookings) without having to submit a payment method

- have a full account where they can Register Bookings as well as make and amend VGM submissions for their company by submitting a payment method
